Are you interested in helping to design the identity of Colorado?

Making Colorado is now accepting applications for the “Making Colorado Creative Team,” a one-of-a-kind collaborative team made up of 10-12 professional designers, copywriters, and technologists from Colorado that will help Gov. Hickenlooper bring to life a new brand for the state.

Making Colorado is on a mission to uncover and showcase the world-class talent, ideas and creativity that exists in every corner of Colorado.  Applications will be accepted through April 29 and the final team will be announced on May 14. Apply or nominate someone today

1. What is making Colorado?
Making Colorado is the most inclusive, collaborative and ambitious branding effort ever undertaken by a state. Rather than hiring a single “place branding” agency to define Colorado, we’re tapping into the energy and expertise of individuals across the state, to build a brand for Colorado, by Colorado.

All Coloradans will have the chance to submit their thoughts, opinions and stories throughout the process. That input will then be filtered to a core group of collaborative teams, including the Making Colorado Creative Team, a group of our state’s top creative talent who will be selected through an open application process. The Making Colorado Creative Team will bring Colorado’s unique qualities to life – visually and verbally – and then share their concepts with the public for feedback.

Five months from now, at the Colorado Innovation Network Summit in August, Gov. John Hickenlooper will reveal the results of this unique collaboration.

By defining what makes Colorado special today, we can preserve all that we love about Colorado while enhancing the stability, development and global reputation of Colorado for generations to come.
